How we work
Here’s what makes us different from everyone else:
Getting Started
We begin with an informal conversation about your vehicle preferences. Use our eValet survey to help guide the discussion: Are you looking for a BEV or PHEV? What style, age, mileage, or color do you prefer? Whether you know exactly what you want or need time to decide, we’ll provide photos and detailed reports of candidate vehicles.
Narrowing the Search
Once we know the type of vehicle you want, we align on exact features, colors, and most importantly, price. We set a ceiling for what you’ll pay — and not a penny more. To move forward, you’ll submit an order and pay a $500 order fee.
Finding your Vehicle
We typically locate the right vehicle for you within 2-3 weeks, searching wholesale auctions and dealer stock. Once acquired, we handle transport, inspection, reconditioning, DMV paperwork and delivery.
Flexible Committment
If you find a vehicle elsewhere before we acquire one, or if the vehicle we deliver is not as described, your order fee will be returned. However, if you decide not to move forward after we have purchased your selected vehicle, the order fee is non-refundable.
We think our approach is great for finding the best car for you, but we’ll let you decide
Pros
+ Access to a wide selection of wholesale vehicles.
+ A fully transparent sales process; we can show you exactly what our costs are.
+ Price protection. We align on a target price, and you never pay more than that.
+ More information on vehicles than you typically get from a traditional dealer and the vehicle is guaranteed to be as described.
+ No need to visit a traditional dealer and deal with dealer shenanigans.
+ Thorough professional inspection and reconditioning.
+ Informed guidance on operating, servicing and charging your car.
Cons
Nobody’s perfect…
- The process takes longer than buying from a traditional dealer.
- You can’t physically inspect or test drive before purchase, so we recommend trying a similar vehicle elsewhere first.
- We don’t take trade-ins, unfortunately.
