FAQs
How long does your process take?
It depends on what you're looking for and what’s available on the market. If everything aligns perfectly, we can get you behind the wheel of a car you love in as little as 2-3 weeks. On the other hand, if it’s a rare car or you have very specific preferences, it might take up to 6-8 weeks. Most of the time, the process takes around 4-6 weeks from start to finish.
What if I change my mind?
No problem! Until we actually buy a car for you from the wholesale market, you’re free to change your mind—whether it’s about the car, the source, or buying a car altogether. If we’ve already purchased the car for you and you decide not to go through with it, there’s a $500 fee. We hope we’ll still part as friends!
What kinds of cars can you get?
The wholesale market offers a wide variety of vehicles, so we can usually find something great for you. That said, availability depends on the make, model, color, and trim you’re looking for. Some options might be harder to find than others.
What if you can’t find the car I want?
Our goal is to make you a happy EV owner. If we can’t find the car you want, and you get it elsewhere, we’re still thrilled for you (and the planet). Of course, we’d love for you to get your car through us!
Do you offer financing?
Not usually. We encourage customers to use traditional financing options like banks or credit unions. In rare cases, we can help bridge small gaps in financing, such as when there’s a shortfall between incentives and the amount owed.
Do you help with incentives?
Yes! We’re well-versed in various programs like Clean Cars for All (CCFA), Driving Clean Assistance Program (DCAP), IRS Used EV Tax Credit, PG&E Used EV Rebate, and more. We’ll happily point you in the right direction, but be sure to confirm details directly with the programs.
What if the delivered car isn’t as described?
The wholesale market is different from retail. We share detailed reports and photos of the car with you before purchase, and our suppliers must meet or exceed those descriptions. Surprises are rare, but if anything doesn’t match, we (and our suppliers) will make it right.
Do you offer delivery?
Yes! Delivery is included if you’re in the nine SF Bay Area counties. If you’re outside that area, there’s an additional charge.
Do you have a return policy?
Yes, with an optional contract cancellation fee. For $250, you can add a return option. If you decide to return the car within three days, there’s an additional $250 fee, for a total of $500 additional.
Do you offer a warranty?
Almost all our cars come with a free 30-day, 1,000-mile service contract covering functional and safety issues. You can also extend this coverage for 12 to 36 months for an additional fee.
Do you provide EV education after the sale?
We offer a detailed tour of your vehicle when its delivered. However, we recommend connecting with organizations like Ride and Drive Clean for in-depth EV education. They’re great at helping new owners get up to speed.
What are the upsides of your process?
Access to a wide range of vehicles in the wholesale market.
We handle the search, so you don’t have to deal with traditional dealerships.
Detailed reports and photos to help you make an informed choice.
Professionally inspected and reconditioned vehicles delivered to your door.
What are the downsides of your process?
It takes longer than buying from a traditional dealer.
You won’t be able to inspect or test drive the car beforehand.
We strongly encourage you to test drive a similar model elsewhere to make sure it’s the right fit for you.
